1,000km on a tandem bike: Greg James attempts The Longest Ride

This is the story of how BBC Radio 1’s Greg James attempted the Longest Ride for Red Nose Day; an intense eight-day journey across the UK!

Greg aimed to cycle his way from Weymouth to Edinburgh, finishing at the iconic Murrayfield Stadium.

Greg rode 1,000 kilometres on a tandem bike nicknamed “Tando Norris”, and climbed the equivalent height of Mount Everest. He was joined on the tandem by the Prince of Wales (03:54), Geraint Thomas, Max Fosh and Alice Levine, amongst others.
