Teenager Jimmy Keenan, inspired by Abraham Lincoln, runs a newsstand while caring for his friend Gimpy and dreaming of becoming a lawyer. Despite pressure from his criminal brother Tap and a local gang, Jimmy stays on the right path, even convincing a judge to give Gimpy a second chance. After Tap’s crimes escalate, Jimmy refuses to help him escape, leading to Tap’s arrest, and Jimmy continues pursuing his dream of justice.
