It’s Christmas. Martha’s favourite day of the year. But that soon changes when everything goes wrong. Midnight mass is cancelled, problems in the kitchen and invited guests show up. She finds herself struggling to keep positive in the face of everyone’s ambivalence for Christmas and James’ depressing rejection of it. Martha reaches her limit and denounces Christmas too. So, it’s up to Thuli to give her mother the Christmas that she wants.
