Timothy James “TJ” Williams (David Wilson) is a sharp but troubled detective whose messy career, strained family relationships, and long-time friendship with aspiring mayor and Police Chief Hamilton Markham (Tom Sizemore) begin to collapse after a drug bust goes disastrously wrong. As his world falls apart, his once-promising future becomes a bargaining chip for political power—used against him by his former friend and commanding officer, a mayor who is aiming for a Senate seat (Rebecca De Mornay), along with the ambitious activist minister, Rev. Alonso Sparks (Richard Roundtree). But when the political machine gears up to paint Williams as a corrupt cop, he refuses to be destroyed. With the support of his partner, Angel Santangelo (Jaime Santana), TJ fights his way back onto the force to clear his name and restore his honor—no matter how hard they try to stop him.
