The artist Mark (Lee Ross) wakes up in his apartment in a residential building to find himself locked in. The power is out, and no water flows from the taps. Communication with the outside world is impossible. A strange voice repeatedly comes through the intercom at his front door, saying "Please remain calm, the situation is under control." Men in hazmat suits surround the apartment building, military tents have been set up. One of the neighbors, Sergei (Andrew Leung), tears down a wall to find out what is happening outside the house. Together, the two men join forces with other residents Sally (Louise Brealey), Aiden, and Enid (Sheila Reid) to fight their way to freedom.
