Dwayne McClaren (Liam Hemsworth), a recent high school graduate, is eager to leave the small town of Cut Bank, Montana, and chase his dream of landing a job in the big city. While he and his girlfriend are out taking photos and videos, he accidentally captures a brutal murder in the background. Initially shocked, Dwayne sees it as an opportunity to blackmail and make money from the footage, hoping it will help him escape his small-town life. However, his seemingly foolproof plan quickly unravels as both the police and criminals close in on him. Dwayne soon realizes that in Cut Bank, secrets don’t stay hidden, and his plan to get rich fast is doomed to fail.
