Director’s Statement:
Forgiveness is a frightening, often bold act for any of us. Especially for those whom we may not think deserve it. I wanted to make a movie that dealt with those themes of understanding and empathy, but for a broken, "dirty" character. In this case, the dynamic between a father and son. In the brief runtime you get with a short film, I wanted to explore a complex father-son dynamic rooted in a son’s attempt to understand his father. It can feel sad, it can feel pathetic, but ultimately an attempt at understanding is the only way forward.
