Following the release of remixes by Shy FX and CLIPZ, legendary soundman Prince Fatty has released a killer new mix of The Vision’s 2019 modern classic, ‘Heaven’, ft. Andreya Triana.
Landing as the final remix of David Rodigan’s House Of Roots project — out now on Defected Records — dub reggae producer and soundman extraordinaire, Prince Fatty, flips the euphoria of The Vision’s original mix on its head. Trading upfront house grooves for a warm, halftime Steppa lean and bags of meditative low end, the remix was recorded with live musicians at his studio in South London.
House Of Roots has been born out of a partnership that’s blossomed since Rodigan first touched down at Defected Croatia in 2025, with his performance becoming one of the defining moments of the entire festival. After returning to Croatia for this summer’s festival finale, Rodigan — this time armed with the House Of Roots remixes — delivered another landmark set, underlining exactly why he remains such a revered DJ & selector.
Enlisting legendary drum & bass originator Shy FX, jungle maximalist, Clipz, and dub reggae wizard, Prince Fatty, to remix three of the label’s seminal records — Fish Go Deep’s 2006 classic, ‘The Cure & The Cause’, Soul Central’s ‘Strings Of Life’ (2004) and The Vision’s ‘Heaven’ (2019) — House Of Roots marks some of David’s most important and intriguing curatorial work yet.
