With paranoia caving in, Blake is forced to confront the terrifying question: is he fated to become the man everyone says he will be?
Director’s Statement:
Creating Blake Buried a Body as my thesis film at Valencia College allowed me to explore diverse visual styles and themes, particularly unwarranted blame, guilt, and their power to transform someone into a monster. At its core, the film examines how these destructive emotions are passed down, shaping individuals in profound ways. My goal was to craft a gritty yet whimsical short that seamlessly blends surreal horror with a compelling drama, one that follows a brother’s journey to find his place in the world while forging a deeper bond with his younger sibling.
