More About "The Recipe":
The Recipe is a story about a woman trapped in her marriage in the 1970’s. It explores the frustration many women felt, and continue to feel, about the suffocating pressures of societal norms. I chose this time period specifically as it marks an important time in women’s liberation. Our protagonist uses an act of destruction to separate herself from not only the male perspective but reality itself. I’m so very proud of what our small team accomplished with such a limited budget and schedule. We had a wonderful cast, led by Ashlynn Yennie, who gives a fantastic performance as our unraveling housewife. I hope you enjoy it!
