Director’s Statement:
Learning my wife was pregnant the same week the world went into quarantine filled me with profound anxiety about bringing new life into such uncertainty. But as the pandemic unfolded, I became more terrified by something else entirely: watching ordinary people abandon critical thinking and surrender to dangerous leaders.
This voluntary submission to indoctrination became the central theme of my film. Horror has always been society’s way of processing its deepest fears, and for me, the true monster wasn’t a virus—it was humanity’s willingness to follow charismatic figures into darkness.
