Can he peel back his scales to find his humanity or will he be consumed by his animalistic nature? 🐠🍆
Watch "Fish Balls" by Anwar Johari Ho on #ALTER.
🎬️ Statement from the Director:
Can someone too far gone still earn redemption, no matter how despicable they’ve been? That’s the question at the centre of Fish Balls.
Change and transformation run through every layer of this film. It’s there in the Fish Man, but it’s also embedded in how we chose to tell it – shifting aspect ratios, an evolving visual language, and a full genre turn by the final act. The form follows the character: as he transforms, so does the question of whether that transformation is even possible.
