Today, Kloyd shares her debut mixtape ‘New Love’, a quietly confident eight-track work that brings together elements of classical composition, leftfield electronica and indie songwriting. A diverse array of sounds that have inspired Kate through the years, and which all converge into one considered and compelling LP.
Recorded in her London flat and built around the voices of female vocalists, ‘New Love’ is a project two years in the making, exploring what it means to open yourself to another person. At times melancholic, but hopeful at its core.
We loved hearing tracks from ‘New Love’ on the dancefloors of Albania at Anjunadeep Explorations, and with performances at indie festivals End of the Road and Green Man yet to come, this summer is Kate’s for the taking, and we’re delighted to be along for the ride.
