James Poole makes a much-anticipated return to Defected alongside GUDFELLA with ‘Gator Boots’. Since the success of his London label breakout ‘Lease Of Life’ in early 2026, British DJ and producer James Poole has grown to become one of the scene’s fastest rising talents. From headlining sets at Ministry Of Sound in the UK, to playing at Defected’s Ibiza residency at Chinois in summer 2026, James Poole’s youthful house sound has been recognised around the globe thanks to support from Chris Stussy, Jamie Jones and Marco Carola. Similarly, GUDFELLA is catching the attention of global house artists like BLOND:ISH, Michael Bibi and SG Lewis; the Philippines-born DJ and producer honed is sound in the US, leading to sets on the countries most revered stages from Brooklyn’s Mirage to the dizzying heights of Coachella and Lollapalooza. Together the two present ‘Gator Boots’, a techy and dark house record with an infectious vocal line dripping in sass and energy. With the two young artists heading to a Defected stage near you in 2026, including London’s Drumsheds in September 2026, get ready to rip-roar through the dancefloor to ‘Gator Boots’.
