Hitting milestone after milestone over the past five years, Kasablanca has quickly risen through the ranks of dance music must-see acts. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, the band has been explosive since their first ‘Human Learning EP’ in 2020. Towards the end of the year, their final shows were cut short after revealing that frontman "Micky" had been diagnosed with cancer. Following a brief hiatus from touring and music at the start of this year to seek treatment, the release of their next collaboration with Lane 8, ‘Remission,’ marked the official return of a cancer-free Kasablanca after the pair debuted the track during their LIVE sets at Ultra Music Festivals in Miami, Chile, and Peru.
An album built in two halves, ‘Higher Resolution’ is the culmination of years of work from the duo, who go by their aliases Micky and Viktor Kasablanca. With the release of ‘Side A’ of the album in October 2024, fans saw a wide range of musical influences and tastes converge, from dance floor anthems to home-listening numbers and everything in between.
