Country legend Barbara Mandrell credits the Opry with reigniting her desire to perform after she had stepped away from music, and in 1972, she was inducted as a member. During NBC’s March 2025 special, Opry 100: A Live Celebration, Opry member @KelseaBallerini honored Mandrell by performing her signature hit, “I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool,” with Mandrell herself sitting close by on the Ryman’s iconic stage.
Listen to Kelsea’s touching tribute, live from the Opry’s most famous former home, Ryman Auditorium, and pre-save / pre-order Opry 100 Country’s Greatest Songs here: https://opry.lnk.to/100
