kiskadee collaborates with Jody Wisternoff and James Grant on ‘Friendly Fire’, featuring Ren Ocean.
Jack Chown, aka kiskadee, is quickly establishing himself as one of London’s most promising new talents. He launched his artist project during lockdown in 2020, where he reimagined voice notes from friends and family into bittersweet beats, crafting a sound rooted in connection and introspection. Since the release of his debut EP, ‘Home’ in 2021, kiskadee has collaborated with a range of artists including Jessie Ware, MIA and Andrew Wyatt. Most recently, he performed an immersive ambient set alongside Jasmin Harsono at Glastonbury.
For James Grant and Jody Wisternoff, the track lands as part of long-awaited compilation album Anjunadeep 16. Earlier this year, the pair travelled to Tà Đùng National Park in Vietnam to film a stunning live DJ set showcasing the compilation. Anjunadeep 16 sees James and Jody curate a diverse array of deep, melodic, and progressive house, with contributions from artists spanning the Anjunadeep, Anjunachill, and Explorations rosters. The compilation provides a platform to welcome new talent to the label and for well-known names to showcase new sounds.
kiskadee, Jody Wisternoff and James Grant’s ‘Friendly Fire’ is out now on Anjunadeep.
Release date: 3rd July 2026
