*What is “Lucky Numbers” about?*
In the winter of 1988, Harrisburg, PA’s famous weatherman Russ Richards faces financial ruin after sinking his savings into a failing snowmobile business during an unseasonably warm season. Desperate, his shady friend Gig suggests an insurance scam, but when it backfires, Russ loses another $10,000 and lands in hot water with Dale, a violent enforcer. Gig then ropes Russ into a plan to rig the state lottery with the help of Crystal, a greedy and shallow accomplice. As they navigate finding someone to buy the winning ticket and cash it, things spiral into chaos with murder, betrayal, and a nosy, inept cop closing in. Russ must decide: chase wealth or save his own life?
