Electronic genre-hoppers Makèz make their Defected debut alongside fellow Amsterdam vocalist and producer LYMA with ‘Come Back Tomorrow’. Having previously released on the London label’s sister arm Classic Music Company, collaborating with rising artists Pinty and Life on Planets for ‘Loosen Your Bones’ and ‘Give It Life’ respectively, Makèz now land on Defected Records proper. With upcoming sets at the label’s flagship festival in Malta and debut season at Chinois in Ibiza, Makèz’s relationship with the house music institution continues to grow year on year, signposted by this Defected debut – ‘Come Back Tomorrow’. True to the Dutch duo’s collaborative nature, the upbeat record is created with LYMA, a talented singer-songwriter also hailing from The Netherlands who has recently worked with international producers Folamour, Dam Swindle and Marcel Vogel. Makèz’s signature blend of styles is present throughout ‘Come Back Tomorrow’, with groove-laden guitar patterns and striking production combining with LYMA’s bright vocals to create an immediately inviting house track that is equal parts cool and addictive.
