Maybe I'll Come Home in the Spring (1971) Sally Field, David Carradine

A story of powerful love…and understanding!
Sally Field stars as Denise "Dennie" Miller, a teenage girl who runs away to live among hippies and then returns to her superficial suburban family home, facing disapproval and judgment for her choices. Her younger sister Susie wants to follow in her footsteps, chasing the idealistic hippie life. David Carradine plays Dennie’s ex-boyfriend who tries to win her back. The film is a period piece portraying the challenges of reconciling personal freedom with familial expectations, often facing generational differences of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
