METRO 2039 – FIRST Gamescom 2026 Gameplay Demo | PURE NIGHTMARE FUEL & BRUTAL Combat [4K]

METRO 2039 returns to the dark, claustrophobic tunnels of post-apocalyptic Moscow with a new story-driven survival horror experience powered by the upgraded 4A Engine.

This Gamescom 2026 gameplay preview showcases terrifying mutated creatures, oppressive underground environments, scarce resources, exploration and brutal close-quarters combat. The atmosphere pushes Metro back toward its darker survival-horror roots, where every encounter can become a fight for survival.

The gameplay footage featured in this video was provided by PLAION for Gamescom 2026 media coverage. I edited the supplied footage into this gameplay showcase for my channel.
