A French anthropologist Jean Charles Pommier (Pierce Brosnan) relocates to Los Angeles with his wife only to encounter a menacing gang of street punks, who vanish from his photographs. After Pommier dies under mysterious circumstances, ER doctor Eileen Flax inherits his memories and must race against time to protect his wife Niki from the same otherworldly threat.
