North East’s finest Sorley returns to DFTD with an edit of Mike Dunn’s ‘Phreaky’. Following his breakthrough release ‘She Freeks’ on Riva Starr’s Snatch!, Sorley has released on the very best tastemaker imprints, recently collaborating with Isekai and Disorder and delivering fiery sets at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Paraiso at XOYO and H0L0 Yard alongside Braydon Terzo in 2026. No stranger to the DFTD catalogue after label debut ‘Deadeye’ and subsequent three-track EP ‘Let It Shine’, Sorley embodies the imprint’s underground sonic and reverence for iconic club tracks built for the dancefloor – ‘Phreaky’ is no exception. A rework of the original ‘Phreaky MF’ from a true pioneer of Chicago house, Mike Dunn, Sorley’s version takes the undeniable groove of the original and transforms it into a late-night club weapon, with Mike’s signature vocal given a dark, techy treatment.
