*What is “Spirit Riders” about?*
In this heartwarming family narrative, Kacie Lewis (portrayed by Allie Deberry) is a 17-year-old girl struggling with guilt and anger after witnessing the death of her younger brother. When Kacie gets arrested and is given a sentence to participate in a work-release program at Spirit Riders, an equine therapy camp for disabled and physically challenged youths, she finds herself in an unfamiliar environment and struggles to adapt to the rules. She discovers a connection with Blaze, a retired racehorse finding it challenging to adjust to his new life. With the guidance of Rex (played by Lance Henriksen), the straightforward owner of the ranch, Kacie assists in re-training Blaze and, in the process, learns to let go of the past, forgive, and liberate her spirit.
