Miika Eloranta and Janne Manserus joined forces and became Super8 & Tab in Helsinki 20 years ago, and their meticulous, euphoric sound is still as fresh as ever.
To mark two decades with the label, we visited Super8 & Tab at home in the city that shaped their sound, and the namesake of their most iconic track. We’re also celebrating by pressing two of their landmark records to wax.
‘Helsinki Scorchin” gets an expanded 20th-anniversary edition, pairing the iconic original with remixes from Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Michael Cassette, plus a fresh rework from station2station.
Meanwhile, ‘Empire’, the duo’s essential 11-track debut LP, gets its first-ever vinyl pressing. Featuring reflective downtempo moments and peak-time anthems, the album that cemented Super8 & Tab as accomplished album artists is now on wax.
