For a lucrative $1,000 per day, out-of-work pacifist Travis agrees to join a controversial two-week behavioral experiment designed to mimic prison life. Within a controlled setting, 20 selected inmates and six guards are divided into two groups and must adhere to a few basic rules, with the entire facility monitored by advanced cameras. However, stripped of their identities and civil rights, the volunteers soon find themselves in a tense and perilous situation as the sadistic guards start to derive twisted pleasure from asserting dominance. Under these extreme conditions, Travis—now known as Prisoner #77—must confront his own limits. How long can he endure?
