*What is “THE FANATIC” about?*
Inspired by a real-life fan who stalked Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst years ago, the screenplay was co-written by Durst and Dave Bekerman. The story follows Moose (played by John Travolta), who feels cheated out of a meeting with his favorite action hero, Hunter Dunbar (played by Devon Sawa). Moose tracks Dunbar down to force the celebrity interaction he believes he deserves. While initially harmless, Moose’s actions soon take a dark turn. Ignoring the advice of his friend Leah (Ana Golja), Moose begins frequenting his hero’s private home. As these visits escalate, Dunbar finds himself in increasing danger.
