Having earned a tidy sum from the sale of some cattle they drove, The Three Mesquiteers reluctantly send gambling-prone Lullaby to bank the cheque. He cheats at a carnival game, and wins a ventriloquist dummy (Elmer!) but misses the bank’s closing time. That night, bank robbers strike—but the trio tracks the outlaws to a ghost town hideout in the aim to recover the stolen gold stash.
