Queen Maya, leader of the natives, captures Tarzan, Ula, and Martling, blaming them for stealing the Green Goddess and angering their gods, and sentences them to death. Tarzan defeats the native champion in a ritual combat, securing their release, but Raglan slips away during the chaos.
