When five relatives arrive at the meticulously ordered home of David Harris, a recluse, to hear the reading of his despised father’s will, they are taken aback by the delivery of an old antique box. Once activated, the box begins revealing unique items to each of them in turn, leading to unexpected and mysterious deaths. As each person falls victim to the box’s eerie influence, David fears his father’s vengeful spirit has returned from the grave. However, he soon realizes that something far older and more terrifying has invaded his sanctuary. If he can’t unravel the enigma of the sinister box, he will surely perish along with the others, all trapped in his house forever.
