A new country. A chance to start again. A past that won’t let go.
Filipe Soto and his wife Marla leave Central America seeking safety and a fresh start in the United States. Welcomed by a Christian sanctuary movement, they settle in a rural community, where Marla finds work at a local diner. For a moment, a quieter life seems possible—until the arrival of those pursuing Filipe puts their future in doubt.
