*What is “To The Wonder” about?*
Neil (Ben Affleck), an American traveling in Europe, falls for Marina (Olga Kurylenko), a Ukrainian divorcée raising her 10-year-old daughter in Paris. After a romantic trip to Mont St. Michel, Neil invites Marina and her daughter to move to Oklahoma, where he works as an environmental inspector. Initially passionate, their relationship cools over time. Marina finds comfort in Father Quintana (Javier Bardem), a priest grappling with his own doubts. When Marina’s visa expires, she returns to France with her daughter. Neil rekindles a romance with Jane (Rachel McAdams), an old flame, but feels compelled to help Marina when she faces hardships. Marina returns to Oklahoma, yet their struggles persist, and old wounds resurface.
